Our tools include extra heavy duty British United Shoe Machinery Pearson 6 Harness stitching machine sewing up to 1 inch thick of leather, heavy duty Adler 205-64 cylinder arm and the rare Junker and Ruh SD 28 hand crank sewer ideal for on the spot repairs.
We insist on using the best solid brass and stainless steel hardware and nylon threads # 205, #277 and #346 in the industry. Why buy new when we can repair it fast? Naturally if it requires hand stitching, that is our specialty.
We also offer a fast and reliable strap cutting services for other leather smiths/ harness makers or those making belts. We are able to cut strips of 4 oz up to 12-14 oz leather from ¼ inch up to 12 inches. Can be done while you wait. You have the option of buying the leather cut to your choice of width and length, or bring in your own hide and we’ll cut it for you in your exact dimensions.
Restore
We can also restore your old leather trunks, brief case, satchels, leather boxes or bags. Depending on what type of leather item you have we recondition the leather giving it the natural non edible oils it needs. Then we re-dye to your color preference and buff to a like new appearance.
Repair your hardbound books. Repairing the stitching, Re strengthen the spine, replacing boards and adding a leather surface or book binding cloth if you prefer.
